Who is Onestroke.ca?
We are Joan and Kathryn Spatuck, the mother/daughter team of OneStroke Canada.

For both of us being creative was always a way of life.  Joan spent many years learning different techniques of painting and other forms of art.  Kathryn has always enjoyed creating objects from wood or other materials, and then adding a decorative design with a few strokes from a paint brush. Our skills together have created some beautiful pieces of art.  However, at times this process from raw material to a wonderfully created and decorated object could take days and a much quicker method of painting was wished for.

One day Joan and some friends attended an arts and crafts tradeshow, and it is here that Joan met Donna Dewberry for the first time and was awe struck at her wonderful talent and abiltiy to create a painting so quickly and with such ease.  After watching Donna paint several designs, she knew that this form of painting was for her.  She signed up for the first Canadian Certification class, and became a One Stroke Certified Instrutor.  She has taught classes through the Board of Education, small stores and private homes.  She has also done demonstrations for Wal-Mart.

Thanks to Donna Dewberry's One Stroke technique we have found a beautiful and quick way to enhance the beauty of our hand made objects and even some of the store bought ones, for all to enjoy.

Donna's One Stroke technique has obviously caught on with many people around the world so we are very fortunate to have One Stroke certified instructors working from our location who will also be available to offer our on-line customers any advice on painting techniques or supplies needed.
